Amazing value, excellent service and lovely stay

We stayed at Inglewood Guesthouse for two nights, arriving Friday evening and checking out Sunday morning, for a weekend break on Isle of Wight.

The guesthouse is easy to find, located in heart of Sandown and a loose walk to shops, restaurants, the seafront, pier and beach. There is
on street parking close by, and spaces to unpack and pack the car directly opposite. We stayed in a family room with a double bed, single bed and

The hosts, John & Justine, were very friendly and accommodating – fitting a bed guard on to the single bed for our toddler. The room had lovely fluffy towels for each guest, plus toiletries and a kettle with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits.

Everything was spotlessly clean, and the shower was hot and powerful. John & Justine provide a really tasty full English breakfast, plus tea, coffee, cereal, juice, yoghurt, toast and muffins if wanted. They are offering a table
service at the moment rather than a buffet in line with COVID measures.

Overall, we had an excellent stay – Inglewood Guesthouse is a perfect base to explore Isle or Wight and such good value for money. We would definitely stay again, hopefully next year for our annual loW visit!

Where to stay on the Isle of Wight

We stayed at the Inglewood Guesthouse in Sandown, which is run by the lovely Jon and Justine. They are such a lovely couple and couldn’t do enough for us from recommending us things to do, to helping us with our bike hire and giving us extra toast and tea at breakfast.

Our room was clean and comfortable

Inglewood Guesthouse is a traditional British seaside B&B and it really feels like a home away from home, especially because of Jon and Justine. Our room was clean and comfortable with one double bed and a single (we had to fight over the double!) and a really hot shower.

The breakfast at Inglewood Guesthouse is also something to write home about with great quality bacon and sausage, beans, mushrooms and delicious scrambled eggs. If you don’t fancy a full English, there were cereals, yogurts and juices as well, plus Justine made SJ scrambled eggs on toast on request.

Justine’s highly rated full English Breakfast

We really enjoyed our stay and it was really made by Jon and Justine, we’d definitely go back to see them if we were to visit the Isle of Wight again.
